The clock is ticking for Taranaki dairy farmers as they work to meet regional targets under the Dairying and Clean Streams Accord.

Farmers on the ring plain won praise today for their actions so far to protect and enhance stream quality – but were told they need to markedly increase the fencing and planting of streambanks if targets set for 2015 are to be met. (Read on …)

NZ News – Horizons Compliance Results Positive

Early results from Horizons’ latest round of dairy farm inspections indicate increasing levels of compliance. Horizons compliance officers have completed around 70 out of their 450 scheduled inspections. Officers have inspected dairy farms in Wanganui, Northern Manawatu and Rangitikei.
